Dr. George R. Monk has been a key player in recognizing and embracing change in organizations. He is a change agent in identifying and developing strategies in leadership development and training management. George has held executive leadership positions in the defense industry, academia, civic organizations and in the small business start-up arena. He has a passion for leadership development, organizational design and keenly understands the relationship between individual, group, and systems synergies. His military, academic, business and quality management background provide him with a unique perspective when coaching and consulting with constituents/clients.
George has experience and strengths in the following areas:
After a successful career in the U.S. Army, (CSM (Retired), Combat Veteran and former Commandant of the Infantry Leadership Academy and Drill Sergeants School) he earned Masters of Science degrees in Human Resources Management from Troy University and Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School of Quality Management as well as his Doctorate Degree in Business Management. He is knowledgeable in Leadership and Organizational Change, Lean and Total Quality Management and has employed the “lifelong learning” concept. “If you’re not growing, you’re dying!”
George is a Toastmaster, Advanced Certified Facilitator and Professor of multiple universities. George holds additional certifications in Critical Thinking, Diversity, EEOC, ADA representative, Certified Quality Manager and Black Belt Six Sigma Certified.
